Kobe Bryant and Ramon Sessions Walk Into a Lounge…

This piling will begin with a public plea for Bill Simmons to lease out me. If you’re not Bill Simmons, a friend or relative of Bill Simmons, a known or previous colleague of Bill Simmons, or an ESPN club member, feel free to skim winning. 

For the uninitiated: Bill Simmons is a author for ESPN. He’s known as The Sports Guy, and he tolerably much runs the town when it comes to snarky, revealing writing and banter about sports. Simmons is launching a new scheme that has been about as cloaked in shadow as Kim Kardashian’s more recent capital letters-thigh mole. That is until last month.

The facts, as far as I could glean ‘em, are that he’s at the chairmanship of a new website that will unite sports with pop way of life in a 70/30 split, and it’ll be owned by ESPN but won’t “offer the ESPN brand.” What’s spellbinding is that, when asked who he’s hiring, other than pals Chuck Klosterman, Deadspin’s Katie Baker, and all-around badass Molly Lambert, Simmons had this to say:

“When people inauguration sites they make the mistake of spending big dollars on people who’ve already generous of peaked. They don’t look at the youthful and hungry people. Especially the people 32 and under. Those are the people that end up carrying projects like this. For me, ten years ago when ESPN.com was founded, I was a nobody. I was 30 years old…I fitting think those people are out there. If we don’t find them, then we’ve failed.”
